Even though I'm a Strat player myself this is still a great loss ๐
sad indeed, and I'm a dreadnought or archtop man meself!
man that's a shame.it hasn't been on the news (do not have digital). ๐ฅ
Sad day. Set a standard for guitars. Telecaster man myself (52 vintage). A good innings though!
why is it sad for anyone other than his family and friends but why are you all sad? not being funny, just wondering.... i've played for 25 years, can't see how this affects me. it's like the diana thing........
Because someone who did something great has died. Heartless b**tard ๐
Its sad because someone has died,in this case someone who played a major part in the modern guitar sound,
hardly a diana thing
that was diana dors you meant ...wasnt it ???
hahaha
so have you all actually been sad today because of this? or did you think 'that's a shame' when you heard.. seriously I'm trying to suss this lark out..... and yeah diana dors
Whatever, I'm bored of this conversation.
you weren't sad at all then, were you?
i couldn't care less for the monarchy, but les paul did help to change music forever.not just with the les paul.he also designed his own guitar effects as well, before they were commonplace.
Respect.
(But not sad in an upset way.)
Just cranked up "Sweet child of mine" in tribute.
Les also designed the first 'sound on sound' recorder - which in my book is his ultimate achievement.
I have a les paul guitar too - its very nice so again thanks Les for that
Its been on the cards for a long time, a true pioneer, I'm happy that he received recognition before he passed.

Here's stoopid grunge band The Supersuckers' tribute to the man and his instrument:
