Having said that, if I had a shop next to me and the alarm had had a few 'issues', as the owner put it, leading to me not getting any sleep, I might struggle to leave a composed voicemail!

Unless its an elaborate windup no, though there could be some mileage in this 😈

Someone I knew had his sleep disturbed by an alarm more than once. So he stopped it ringing.
Unfortunately using a shotgun to do so is not on the police recommended method list.
