I cant decide ?
You decide for me 😉
For entry into a local flower show.
A
B for me. Darker, more intense, leads the eye better.
B
It's got more depth, and I prefer the extra contrast.
B
B
A
I like the creatures in the background 😉
Is it a flower show at a Goth convention?
A) I prefer the finer detail and the fact it appears a little lighter.
Is it a flower show at a Goth convention?
🙂
Sisters of Mercy do water colours...
B - a bit more dark / brooding
It could be 🙂
Alot of my paintings end up a bit Spooky Woods, all done with a Cola Nib pen and Indian Ink.
Pareidolia does kick in heavyly after finishing a picture.
I'd be entering some sort of flower - a painting won't stand a chance against a gladioli!
A is my pref. B does catch your eye more initially. But A makes me want to look into the wood and discover if anything is there. 🙂
A from me coz that's spooky
A makes me want to go and investigate.
B makes me want to run away.
A, draws me in more, has a better feeling of depth and space, B feels claustrophobic
first glance B seems more balanced. Will look again after reading jonno101's post
Still B. It's deeeeper
A
That sums them up nicely.
@all
Great comment and insights so far. Thanks Everyboby.
Its erring towards A so far.
A, more depth through the tones, more welcoming
B- Darker more contrasty, less welcoming
A = Here is Hope
B = Here lies Despair...Enter not for the way is shut,it was made by those that are dead*
* or something like that 😉
A - I wanna be a Goth, I wanna be a Goth
B - I wanna dress myself in a long black cloth
A for me,
It's the woods I would rather be in on my bike, B makes me think I shoulda brought my lights with me
A is a better composition to my mind. Both are very good.
A makes me want to go and investigate.
B makes me want to run away, bit too busy.
So A
2nded
A
Looks easier to ride through.
I prefer A because the highlights in B make me think audio waveform.
Its looking like A.
I'll keep B, might auction that of as well tomorrow.
The size limit for the show is A3, I do have a 3ft by 2ft above the TV in a similar vain.
This is also a bit "The Road (lost radio programme), Last Scene of Game of Thrones" as John Snow rides of into the trees.
"Spooky Woods B", A3 Indian Ink using Cola Nib Pen.
I prefer B. But I think probably A's the better choice for the job.
I love all the comments everybody.
I'll have to make note of them. The wood is local to me and when I look at it on the wall, it makes me want to ride more or just chill in the woods.
I dont see myself as a outright Mountain Biker (tuck no hander type) just a kind rough stuff rider and just enjoy the outdoors and where a trail might take me. The ride for me is the woods :-).
I'm glad these paintings capture that feeling for me and others as it seems.
Thanks to All.
Perhaps they should go as pair with those titles. 🙂

For a moment I thought only one picture had loaded and that you hadn't put very much effort into the silver birch slap bang in the middle of the foreground 🙂
I think side by side B seems to steal the show as it has more contrast so it pulls itself forward relative to its neighbour, but viewed in isolation A takes your eye on more of a journey through the space of the picture. The strong lines in B direct your eye around the surface but the light in A pulls you into space beyond the surface.
The results are in....
First in category 🙂 With "Spooky Woods A"
Then put it in the charity auction and made £40.
🙂
Feels great making a sale so to speak, thanks for all your feedback people and making me select A.
