Sitting in back garden, shirt off, reading then heard a crunch and a scream...
Little lad, about 8 years old decided to take the T junction at full pelt on his bike without looking and T-boned a car...
Split his face open, lost 5 teeth, one left sticking in the car window pillar, lying on his back, tangled up in his bike, bleeding profusely...
Scary old business, waiting for the ambulance, even after being a nurse for 20 years.
doesn't sound nice. Poor lad, however, I feel for the driver too.
Hopefully the wee lad will learn his leason maybe stop next time at the junction.
Ooooh nasty!
Hope he comes through okay, thankfully it wasn't under the front wheels.
No doubt it'll teach him an important lesson, and hopefully he won't be too scared to get back on the bike.
yeah, nasty (still, imagine the story it'll be when he gets back to school!)
my mate had one once who came straight off the pavement into the side of his car as he went through some traffic lights (guess the kid either thought he was on red or else wasn't thinking at all). a second earlier and he'd have been under the car.
yeurk
Hope the lil one get better soon
Better in the side than the front, still never nice! Hope hes alrite.
