Oh must try this line of defence when the postie delivers a parcel!
"no dear I never ordered it!, I have no idea who it's from"
I'm sure a well-known Todmorden-based bicycle manufacturer and retailer used to sell "congratulations on winning this frame in our prize draw" certificates that could be included in the box with the frame in order to avoid difficult discussions on it's arrival 🙂
McMoonter - the request was herring, mackerel, tuna or sardines - don't go bringing caviar into it just because you found a convenient picture on google.
Have you asked Hora, most frames pass through his hands at some point.
Why would somebody else but your address down. Don't understand that, unless they did it my mistake.
We had a picture of the bike with a fish on it yet?
I cycle through St Johns on my commute home every night 😉
Its full of Uni students & a nice cricket ground, not a huge place, did you say its a road frame MM?
If it is, long shot and if you want to try some fishing, you could try contacting St Johns Cycling Club?

I bought a fork on the classified once, and the guy posted it to the wrong stw-er (iirc he had sold them something else). I did get the fork a few days late and with a curly wurly in with it. 😀
McMoonter have you bought anything else from the classifieds? I suppose it is just possible that a seller you bought from once with a "lot on thier mind" might have muddled your details with someone with a similar name/email address/etc.
They weren't referring to St John Street Cycles (SJS) in Bridgwater? Unlikely if passing through Worcester though.
I managed to send two near identical packages out to the wrong stwers once. I realised about 10 minutes after the post office shut.
They were very nice about it and forwarded them on to each other.
I still blush when I think about it now.
I once sent a pair of kneepads to Howies after the label with the buyer's address fell off en route, leaving only Howies' return address.
Then I posted something to myself after same thing happened.
Then I stopped just using sticky labels.
Can I have it?
Somebodies sure to pop up on here in a few days slagging off some bloke he bought a road frame off and it didnt arrive.

Sorry if this sounds like I am trying to be useful but my brother belongs to Worcester St johns if you want me to ask?
Can I have a curly wurly too?
I checked the parcelforce tracking number. It says it was collected from St Johns and its first stop was Worcester.
As has been said before, St Johns is one of Worcester's larger suburbs. Many students. There is one bike shoip also - the green bike company, May be worth callign Ian there to see if he could put the word out, as they are quite involved in the local scene, their number is 01905 426459. Contacting SJCC is also a good iea as has been said above.
I once chundered in a park in St Johns, and susequently fell asleep on the grass, waking at 6am. Likely to be unrelated to the miss-sending of this frame.
Woody, that can't be it, that Road Pike is a shingle speed......
I posted a thread on the SJCC forum, they also have a facebook page which I hope they can link it to.
Road Pike! This place is sometimes amazing.
Didn't this happen to Ton before? I'm sure he bought a frame, reused the box, eventually the box with his address on it ended up with him again, except this time he wasn't expecting it. By working out who he had sent it to, he managed to work out where it should be going
Its your christmas present...you've spoilt it now!
I had a big first aid kit sent to me a couple of years ago. Never worked out who or why it was sent, but it is now stashed in my camper 🙂 Very nice it is too, all clear zipped wallets so you can see your stuff without having to open everything first 🙂

I'll raise you, bank error in my favour - £100 transferred into my account for no reason a few years back, contacted bank & told them, nothing they would do unless someone wanted it back apparently 😉

Does a Monopoly Chance card count?
Pah, I came second in a beauty contest. Im keeping that £10.

I once did the same with a tatty saddle I sold in the classifieds that ended up back at CRC after I reused one of their envelopes. They were very good about it, they even forwarded it on to the STW'r it was supposed to have gone to 🙂

And, amazingly, you were the only entrant.
Good news.
The sender got a note from the person expecting the frame. He checked the post office receipts and went through his account to find me.
He offered to refund the postage cost of £12.80 then sent me £58 via paypal.
Time to focus on the detail I think.
A bit of good Karma goes a long way. I sent the difference back.
