6 Music is what we here listen to 90% of the time.
J'sus, if you're going to cull everything the BBC do well, magazines, kids and 6M amongst others then how is it possibly fulfilling it's mandate better than producing quality goods for us all?
CULL Radio 3
Keep the rest, it provides fantastic value for the money and makes money with its commercial activities.
Just so the failing commercial sector can subject me to Tampon, SueEveryoneYyouknow.COM and SellMeYourGoldRightNow & other sh£ite adverts.
Over the last couple of years I’ve become increasingly frustrated with R1 – as a loyal listener since day 1 (yes I’m somewhat older then their target audience) I’ve found it hard to move away though – but can’t stand commercial stations or local and although target age for R2 find the marshmallow drivel between the music more irritating then the inane drivel of R1
In the last few months a Colleague has insisted that we have music on in the office and that’s been firmly tuned to R6 – it’s a top station they not only play music but most of that is the stuff that’s on my ipod – I’ve enjoyed listening so much I’d quite happily buy a DAB radio for the car – just to listen more
To loose this station would be such a pity
I'm in the too old for R1/not ready for R2 category, I also listen only in the car and have resorted to R4 and 5. Sounds like R6 would have been perfect for me 🙁
I'd be gutted if it went, kind of grown into it over the past couple of years, yeah there's only so many times you can listen to the Pidgeon Detectives but The Freakzone, introduced me to [url=
awesome!
Best line up?
Jupitus
Lamb, sorry but that got me through many a dull morning (flipper noise)
Swap Nemone for listen again Garvey / Freakzone / Funk and Soul
Ride home with Lamacq, still listen to him thinking I'm 14 doing my homework to the Evening Session,
Gideon Coe's perfect to end the day to.
If it does go it'll be Radio4 all the way, Steve Wright does my nut in!
losing 6 music will save me money tbh.
was planning on getting a DAB radio for the kitchen so i can listen to 6 music. but now there aren't any radio stations i'll listen to i can happily keep my wallet closed - thanks bbc!
Gutted, the Jon Holmes show is fab.
The BBC are putting it about that they're going to pull the plug in order to generate publicity and attract new listeners - before they cave in to public demand and keep it going.
This is exactly what is happening here.
orena45:*if you listen to their 'proper' podcast you'll know what I mean
You are a ****ing idiot 😉
