Oi - stop cluttering the discussion with irrelevances AA. You know its not about tries scored. 🙂

Idlejon - because the scots coach thinks that having the roof shut is an advantage to wales thats why he has done it

Robbo almost definitely will have asked for the roof to remain open to wind the Welsh camp up.

No doubt it makes a big difference to the noise levels. So that way it helps level things a bit.

Think the game could go either way. Surely Wales can not be that bad again????

Patterson lacks pace to make an impression from fullback, good step but that apart he's lightweight and slow. looking forward to Hook v Lamont. Lamont was very sharp against France but can he defend at 13 at this level. Expect Hook to be smashed a few times tomorrow but if he gets the ball in space it could be intresting, especially if Wales can bring Byrne in to attacks Lamonts outside shoulder. Byrne needs to step up with the high balls to help out the two midget wingers, we can expect Parks to get the cross kick going. Beatie looks a handful too and quite keen to see how the new and much angrier looking JT goes in the second row. If wales can get the lineout working it could be a very good game, I was suprised by Scotlands desire to run back the kicks against France all in all could be a cracker or it could be shit.

Can I just take a moment to say

Calon lân yn llawn daioni,
Tecach yw na'r lili dlos:
Dim ond calon lân all ganu
Canu'r dydd a chanu'r nos.

Nervous now...! Still think we can just about edge it, but I reckon it's going to be a very tight game! Weather looks great, here's hoping we have some fireworks!

Great to see the Adam Jones interview excerpt about his try again, comedy genius! Also, lovely to see Gareth's magnificence in the preamble as well. What glorious rugby that was.

Two stamps off the ball? Yellow.

Cracking opening few minutes, though!

Paterson looking a bit crock. Shame if he goes off in his 100th cap.

AA, I think it would take wild horses to drag him off the pitch! Brave!

Deliberate knock on? Was it in a try scoring position? Hmm.

Not good to see the injuries Scotland are taking, they're playing such great rugby today! Not an ideal first half for Wales, just imagine what that nice Mr Edwards will be saying in the dresisng room!

Scotland are good you mean? Much better than they have been given credit for.

Wales will come back into this game yet.

What is wrong with wales?
Hook has (i think) missed tackles on both tries. Time to bring shanklin on?
Scotland seem to doing the basics but are not facing a team who look like doing much at the moment.
Hope for a better 2nd half.

Am gutted for scotland. Wales can only take a bit of hope from that. To be taken so close by scotland. Seriously gutted

I think thats a bit strong. Good second half if you're welsh but the first half was mediocre as a game.

Why did the last kickoff not go to the touchline?

They can't kick it into touch from a kick off

They're not supposed to but there would be no time for more play anyway.

If he had kicked straight into touch its a scrum - no time left for the scrum. Game over - draw.

Even kicking it towards the touchline would have done - let the welsh catch it and drive them into touch.

Scotland really threw that game away. should have won and won comfortably.

sockpuppet, the penatly kick for the draw was guaranteed, so we would have had that at least. Ryan asked the ref if it would restart, he said yes. The fact that Scotland couldn't kill the game off and that Wales kept that ball alive for so long was the difference. Keeping that ball alive was, as you put it, playing to win!

🙂

Cant kick the ball straight out from a kick off, ref would have to have awarded the scrum and played on. They could have made more efort to bounce it into touch though.

Have to say I ****in hate that ref. Starts off being a pedant at the scrum and then just ****in gives up, spoilt the game. Also if you cannot tackle a player in the air how was it not a pen when williams took that high ball on his line, he never landed. He should have yellowed scotland earlier in the second half, Cussiter should have gone. Another occasion cussiter box kicked it about 2m forward wales knocked on scrum scotland, despite all the scots competing for the ball being 8m offside. I'm sure the scots could point to other shite calls from their perspective.
