This is real a long shot but.......have a bottle of 1971 Dom Perignon which has been carefully stored - stable cool temperature, on it's side, in the dark, vibration free since buying from of the now-deceased Bill Baker of Hallatrow Wines in 1986.
The '71 is one of the top vintages and is still drinking fantastically well.
Was a christening present for my eldest son who is now 30; I have kept it on his behalf and offered to him at 18 - no; same at 21 and 25 and 30. 'Dad, I don't like fizzy drinks' - it's not f***ing coke.
Difficult to establish what it's worth but it's vintage, quality and rarity need to be factored in; the fine/rare specialists - including Fine & Rare - are, I think, aspirational in their asking prices.
It just wouldn't be right if I bought it from him.
So, if you're interested drop me an email - address in profile.
