Eldest has been subsumed by the insatiable marketing juggernaut that is the new minions film. Is he old enough to watch do you reckon? are there scary bits that might induce a apocalyptic freak out? Do they still do toffee or mint poppets?

Your kid, only you can know.

FWIW, My two watched Star Wars (until they got to boring bits) and Wizard of Oz (the original - and watched it again and again and again) at that age without issue.

Well obvs. I've asked the wrong question perhaps....Take 2 - are those with offspring of a similar age taking them to see this?

Also what about the poppets?

I suspect the 3.5 year old will get bored and watch bits of it but spend half the film putting the seats up and down/asking to go to the toilet.

That's what mine did at that age.

My daughter will be 5 in Oct, but 'spicalo me' (as she calls it!!) 1&2 have been her favorite films for ages and she will be going to the pictures to see the minion film.
