We are putting a 2nd TV in, we have Virgin HD Cable for TV/Phone/Tinternet. Not sure wether to get freeview TV and a new aeriel or hook a 2nd TV into Virgin , I take it we'll need a new box ?
Might get a PS2 or something to plug in aswell, cant see it being used much for Tinternet.

yeah, you need virgin to come out again and install a new line/box. I just use an aerial for the other, still gets plenty of channels including BBC HD.

Video sender - we used this at our last house, while my son was Xbox-ing on the main (Sky) telly, we could watch on the other. Also used a magic-eye so the Sky remote worked. Saved paying for an additional room subscription. Now just use Sky Go thru the laptop (and onto the 2nd telly).

I think VM were giving away 2nd boxes if you upgraded to Tivo

Not sure if they still are or whether that interests you.

I was told that you couldn't use a sender with Virgin (don't ask me why, just repeating what i was told)

We upgraded to TiVo last year and the V+HD box was offered to us for no extra charge. Not sure if they still offer this though.

Give 'em a call and see what they can do for you.

it outputs cvbs though the Scart socket, so not an issue
You can obviously only watch the same channels on both TVs though

I kept my V+ HD box when they put my tivo in.

But I am waiting for the new Slingbox that is being released now, so I can stream around the house. You would need to watch on some sort of computing device, like a laptop, tablet, all-in-one computer, etc.

Belkin have something similar out but I don't trust Belkin to support it.

Wife will get a tablet in the kitchen on which to whatch the soaps she records plus exercise vids on youtube...
