I was up on the Ridgeway this afternoon, watching the cloud coming up from the south-west. Lovely afternoon though.

Got very windy here in Staffs in the last hour.
I've moved the beer indoors, for fear of falling tiles. 🙂

Set to get a lot worse by dawn, as the turkey & stuffing sandwich works it's way south.

I've just checked out chimet (a weather station set in Chichester Harbour, Solent, Southampton Water etc.) and it's maxed out at 55mph... Pretty normal for a bit of a blow that, where's all this 100mph stuff????

strongest winds likley to be in the amber bit of this confusing diagram

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/#?tab=map&map=Warnings&zoom=5&lon=-3.50&lat=55.50&fcTime=1388102400

Chcichester and the home counties no likley to see much of it.

Wind is very noisy here in Todmorden. Our house is really sheltered and it's rare you hear it.

Now wondering whether to set off to Buxton. What can possibly go wrong?
