So me and the other half are splitting up to spend some time apart due to not really getting on. Its been like this for a while now (2 years) and luckily there is a flat just around the corner that the other half is moving into. (She needs her space basically)
So in terms of disruption to the kids it should be as minimal as possible. Obviously, its not going to be easy but I actually feel quite good about it. The kids (aged 8 and 9)seem to be coping quite well at the moment.
We will hopefully get on better as we wont be arguing over petty stuff and getting on each others nerves.
Has anyone else had the same situation and if so how has it worked out?
Is it a case of some people just aren`t meant to be together?
Thoughts appreciated.
If you cannot live with someone then you cannot live with someone.
My kids were younger and I guess the probelm you have is that at that age they can have a say and will notice. Mine were too young to realise what was happening.
Kids are adaptable and whilst no one would choose it it is the best choice in a bad situation.
