😯 Christ Sale beat the farmers!
Grand, only 16 more points to ensure safety.
Oh, bloody hell! Lost our first natch at home last season too, only one of two.
Tom, you out tomorrow or polishing your snow board?
Happy 8)
😀
Ospreys win in Italy which isn't easy 😀
My shedhead mate hasn't replied to my txt asking what went wrong.
All pretty much as expected apart from sale, very good win by northants, looking forward to tigers coming down to bath next weekend!
First home game of the season against a Falcons team that got killed at home in the opening match. Either a fired up or dispirited team - knowing our luck...
Full match on the Aviva site now Muddydwarf
Cheers!
Enjoy your dodgy tries 😆
Did you see the scarlets try? Video ref was asked to check final pass which was ok, but the ref failed to notice that McCusker dropped the ball short of the line!!
I see St Gav is playing for Bath A tonight, a half on the weekend and a start on Monday, that's a years work for him in less than a week!!

Has it been giffed yet? 🙂
It was all looking rosy for the Scablets at that point, wasn't it?
Scarlets played well first half, should have had a pen try when the fullback tried to remove Scott Williams head too. Second have was awful.
End of the Heine Cup then?

Find it all very frustrating as a fan. Personally i think the English clubs are using the qualification line as an excuse and it is simply all about the money.
I partly agree that there should not be automatic qualification for the HC for both Scotish and Italian teams and that it should be the top 8 Pro12 finishers for example. However in Italy and to a lesser extent Scotland they are trying to grow the game and top level European matches are an important part of that perhaps they should be given another 2 years of automatic qualification and then top 8 to HC bottom 4 to Amlin.
What value is there in a new tournament that does not have all nations represented and is missing either 3 or 5 of the last 8 winners?
I get the impression that there are a couple of pig headed idiots in charge on both sides that won't yield power or influence and it will ultimately be the fans that suffer as usual.
Its always about the money with the RFU they tried to strong arm the 6 nations a few years back.
Bunch of bastards
To be fair to the RFU it is the clubs and Premier Rugby on this occasion, same applies though Bunch of b 🙂
What I would prefer with any new cup competition is to either make it winners of the group, or winners and runners up go through to the next stage. The current arrangement with winners and then the two highest scoring runners up (across all groups) is madness within the structure of a professional sport tournament as it's completely open to having one of the weak teams in the group and sticking a load of points on them home and away.
Agree Straightliner, plus at present some of the other non qualifiers can drop to the Amlin i dont think that is right either.
4 leagues of 5 play each other H and A winner and RU of each go through, simples.
The current seeding system using the past 8 years performances is a joke as well and has resulted in what appear very uneven groups.
Wales shot themselves in the foot by not going for an anglo welsh league whenever it was that Cardiff had the rebel season.
Swansea best team in the Uk that year 😆
Tom Croft out for the season with a torn ACL, quite an injury list he is bulding up.

Terrible news, gutted for him. Big loss for the tigers as well 🙁

unlucky bloke, he must be gutted. The attrition rate for top players is ****ing nightmarish these days. Good luck to him in his recovery.
Certainly been more injury retirements over this summer than i can ever remember 🙁
I think we are probably now starting to see players who have played only professional rugby reach the end of their careers and the next 5-10 years i guess we will see just what a toll that has taken on them.
Its certainly an issue as bigger players become stronger and more athletic. I find myself less tolerant of big hits, not using arms etc. It can be crowd pleasing (judging by the comments on rugbydump etc) many fans still love to see it but I hate to see good players taken out of the game.
There are some right chimps who comment on Rugby Dump 😆

The Orange Witch starts at 12 v Leicester today.
Excellent result for Sale last night 😯 sooo glad that I didn't end up going! I'd got a ticket but a combination of an hour queue on the M6 and the pissing rain persuaded me that a night in was a better bet!
Northampton look strong this year.
I went to the game. Newcastle were poor but Sale were awful.
no penetration from Falcons whatsoever, Sale had territory, possession and the set pieces yet constantly gave away penalties.
Really poor.
aus 14 arg 13 with 15 to go! Aussie commentators don't like the "new" law that says they have to feed the scrum straight!!

Live on BT sport too. Think ill watch that.
could be a good game, shame about Leicester injuries
B*** have a very good squad this year. Looking forward to seeing rokoduguni again. He's a guardsman, got picked up by *alternative to a shower* following the army navy game. Good player.
Henson must have impressed in training to make the XV. Good luck to him.
Eastmonds broke, went off just before half time last week with Henson coming on, he also played a half for the reserve team on Monday night. Hope his defence is up to the job today. Only other option would have been Banahanahanahan at 12. I suspect Henson outside a young outside half is a better option. Henson can take the pressure off with clearance kicks and decision making as and when needed. For someone who is obviously as thick as shit he is a very "intelligent" rugby player.
as an aside, how the **** can they get this so wrong when the bloody video ref is looking at it? Its an awful decision
this was very very odd too but at least borderline I suppose
I though the second one more clear cut than the first (which was offside, but the tackle was fine so no yellow IMHO)
could he be offside?[s] I'm not sure a ruck had formed?[/s] no ruck was formed, he couldn't be offside. Also the ref said high and no arms which is clearly wrong.
back to Gavins performance in training... twitter says it all:
Super Gavin Henson ?@UnrealGavHenson 12 Sep
Great training session finished - lads clapped me off the pitch and @Jonathanjoseph0 asked for a signed picture. Happy to oblige for a fan!Super Gavin Henson ?@UnrealGavHenson 29m
Shaking hands with some Gav fans before the warm up. Then a request to go into the @LeicesterTigers dressing room to sign some autographs
I personally thought that the first one was a borderline shoulder charge, he didn't really wrap him up! Not a lot the video ref could do...the ref told him that he'd nade up his mind about the tackle and just wanted to know if there was any foul play in the aftermath.

he had hold of Carter as he was falling, nothing wrong with that tackle at all. Agree the video ref is not at fault but its awful from Poite
Terrible performance by the ref, NZ played monster rugby and SA had no chance playing with 14 players against 16 .
😥
I find it VERY difficult to pity the saffas for getting a hard time from a ref. they've benefitted so many times and got away with so much. Not a fan.
