Hi all,

Doing 2 days of hiking/camping around Garibaldi this coming Saturday/Sunday, and then back to Vancouver for about 8pm Sunday night.

I then have from then until around 5-6pm on the Tuesday, when I need to be in Whistler, free, with one mate, and a hire car.

Can stay the Sunday night in Van and then head out Monday morning somewhere, or get a couple hours driving in the Sunday night.

We would like to do something fairly active and outdoorsy - some more hikes, SUPing, kayak, tubing etc etc. Budget is fairly tight so nothing too spendy. Probably not MTBing.

Happy to camp, and we will have sleeping bags etc, but no tent, so would need to rent one, ideally from where-ever we were staying.

Current vague plan is head out to Harrison Hot Springs on the Sunday evening, spend Monday around there, then maybe up to Kelowna or Kamloops that evening, before swinging round to Whis on the Tues.

Any thoughts/recommendations much appreciated!

Cheers,
Duane.

Scandinave Spa Whistler - After a day hitting the trails...this was pretty damn amazing!

Its located on a cracking campsite too. All within walking distance to the main village area. Nice walk along the river.

Vancouver > Harrison 2hrs
Harrison > Kelowna 2.5hrs
Kelowna > Whistler 5.5hrs
All that is without scenic stops.

You'll be spending more time in the car than doing things.
What about doing your Garibaldi lake hike, then heading over to the sunshine coast rather than burning time driving towards the interior?

^^ What BearBack said.  Way too much driving time.  It's peak tourist season so you'll inevitably end up stuck behind an RV.  Personally I'd head over to Vancouver Island - probably Uculet (not Tofino) and see about a day kayak tour in similar.  That would depend on the ferries though.

Or head up to Powell river for some hiking.
