[#7772698]

Idly browsing for a cheap synthetic 2 season sleeping bag to add to my collection, mainly for bivvying/bikepacking duties in combination with a down quilt as necessary.

Current frontrunner is a Mammut Montana 2, subject to actually seeing one.

Can anyone beat that - better weight/pack size/rating for the price?

Snugpak. Their Travelpak 2 is cheaper and packs smaller. They also have a few other bags that would fit your needs.

A bit heavier though. I think 1kg is probably my limit. Near a mountain warehouse next week where they have snugpak stuff I think so will have a look. Cheers

Bought my son a vango planet 100 for a trip to japan last year, seems ok and pretty cheap.

Slight hijack perhaps, but I also want a cheap 2 season bag so semi on topic,

I noticed that alpkit do their bags in std and long sizes, does anyone else offer different sizes?

Quite a few do in Large size - when I was looking for a decent down bag. - M E, Haglofs, Rab I'm sure, Mountain Hardwear as will IIRC.
