Second the Multi-Car link, much cheapness especially if you have a recently qualified tennage driver in the house.

My experience of Admiral multi car insurance:
Year 1 mucho cheapness for a two car policy.
Year 2 more expensive than insuring them individually, multi car cancelled.

Probably 🙁

I looked into it too then realised that it was cheaper to just insure separately. Probably cheaper if you don't get requotes each year though.

IME Admiral multi car isn't any cheaper than 2 separate policies, they also require a 14 day notice top cancel and 1 few other clauses.

Twice as many cars to be stolen and/or involved in accidents. Why should it be cheaper?

Less admin for two cars on one policy holder than two separate policies. Standard business practice mike but then I'll assume that you did know that...

Apart from, it would seem, the extra costs of setting up quote systems to deal with two cars?

Admin doesn't seem to be something the insurance companies are keen on cutting, based on our dealings with them - having to send a proof of no claims, that they issue, to them, for example.

We would have saved £20 for a two car policy with Admiral. The benefits didn't seem so good as separate policies and rollover of "no claims" to separate policies if you leave them weren't at all clear. So we didn'tbother

Agree that a Multicar isn't always cheaper. I tried last week, rang them up and it wasn't that cheap. Did 2 separate online and they were £60 cheaper 🙂
