Week 1 = 83 Kg
Week 2 = 83.5 Kg
week 3 = 82.55 Kg
Week 2? cut down on intake but put weight on - how does that work?
1st three weeks and i've weighed on 3 different sets of scales so not confident they are accurate
(still a biffer though whatever i weigh on)
CBA to read 8 pages, but thought I'd drop in my input.
Crept up over 15st last year so decided to sort it out. Lost 2.5st in 3 months during Summer/Autumn. How? By exercising more and not eating when not hungry.
I cut out having a load of sandwiches at lunch time and only had a bacon butty every other day, rather than every day. I only have an evening meal when I actually feel really hungry (but always eat something in the morning).
I find I'm not actually hungry half as much as I used to think I was. As a bonus, I've eaten and drunk a shed load of crap over Christmas and haven't put an ounce on, despite not riding for a couple of months. I just need to get some riding fitness back.
Laters fatties 😀
Alright peeps, a good week again, keep it up. Those who've not sent weights in - I count you as out if there's 3 missing in a row.
- Total weight loss 58.63Kg
- Average weight loss per person 0.58Kg
- Loser of the week podman with a loss of 3.5 Kg
Damn....nearly a 8lb loss from podman 😯
I must be doing something wrong.
Yea eating! Same as me 🙁
Cut down the food. Cut down the booze. Net result over three weeks? No change! Now that the snow has gone and I can start to ride the bike again maybe there will be some movement. Maybe. Damned annoying.
I have to say with my 3.5kg, that my week 2 weigh-in was a bit of an anomaly! I put in the body of the email, but guessing it didn't get read!
week 1- 80kg
week 2- 82kg
week 3- 78.5kg
Week 2 was weighed in the evening after a day at work and meal etc, whereas the other two were near enough first thing in the morning! Same set of scales etc. however so should be the same inaccuracies.
I'd love to know how much I really lost over the past week; I had a week off work and had been squirrelling away at my university project work- meaning not much exercise and barely any sleep, but plenty of caffeine and a few missed meals! I expect the weight will go straight back on as soon as I get into a more normal routine again 🙁
It's interesting that last weeks's "winner" with a scarcely believable claimed weight loss has so far not reported in this week. What do we make of that? Maybe the weight loss was due to childbirth!!!
There does seem to have been some interesting weights. I still think some people are sending in lbs losses instead of kg 😉
It all depends how much podman started with. First kg's go off pretty quick if You have more than plenty to loose 🙂 and if he is really trying it can be possible, seems he is doing a good job if the weight is true. For me a good result is usually 1-1.5kg/week loss.
Weather is getting a bit better so should be able to get on the bike a bit more as the cardio sessions on the cross trainer or rowing machine can get a bit boring after 30min, You just look on the time, listen to music etc with the occasional nice looking lady walking pass every now and again 🙂
I need to find some scales which will actually weigh me!!! Might go to the zoo! I'm starting on friday after just coming back from my holiday
Bit of a reverse fluctuation for me over the weekend... damn booze! It was a monster, I think I drank Leeds dry. Question is... can I get back to last weeks point by Friday???
Hoping to start doing some proper focussed exercise too myself, as that is what really works for me. The dietry changes thus far have been fairly minor tweaks but I am planning something a touch more involved from next time I need to hit the Supermarket. Figured that trying the GI/GL type eating plans would be worth a try after some very indepth conversations I had with nutritionists and medical professionals some years ago whilst working in elite sport. Hey... it's worth a try!
Friday bump!
I'm going to go to the hospital and see if they have any elephant scales. If not i'll go to the zoo
Managed to drop 1/2kg this week. Helped by getting for the 2nd time this year yesterday 😆
Just need to get rid of this chest infection so I can do more...
Not been under 14st for best part of 30yrs
Ahh some form of success achieved!! (for me at least)
87.5 last week and 85 this week get in! At last managed to get out on the bike for a couple of rides and seems to have made a difference. Lets hope it lasts???
However, to every reaction there is an equal and opposite reaction and got a couple of invites to go larging it over the weekend and pretty sure the willpower will fail and I'll undo all my work to date with copious amounts of Guiness and kebabs...
I put on a kilo this week.
anyone care for a biscuit `?
i don't understand this weight loss thing. last week with no exercise i lost hardly anything, this week same type of food, still no exercise due to having a cold, but dropped 1.5kg - i was even convinced i'd put on a little.
this weekly weigh in is bl@@dy good motivation though!
Somehow I have lost nearly 1 kg this week! Diet the same but a very hard week at work must have burnt it off.
So its a step in the right direction at least 🙂
wk 1 - 96kg
wk 2 - 95kg
wk 3 - 93.5kg
Wk 4 - 92.5kg
Slowly slowly catchy monkey.
Weigh in time people!
If we are going to weigh 'in time' please can you tell us when this should be!
Everyone getting on the scales at the same time may create some kind of earthquake! 😆
you'll have ours tomorrow am.
Dropped a couple of pound (or just under a kilo) - my first loss in 3 weeks.
Must have been the fact I actually did some exercise this week. Shock horror, who'da thunk? 😉
3.2 kg's now in 4 weeks and I've not been commuting for the last 2 weeks as I've been home looking after the missus.... can't wait for Monday as I'll be back on the SS commuter 🙂
1.5kg loss since starting 🙂 Easy does it! Glass of wine's my treat tonight 😉
I've managed to lose 6.5kg since 1st of January 😀 (102.2 then, now 95.7).
I have done minimal exercise due to work commitments and have just been closely monitoring my calorie intake. It has amazed me how easy it is to eat more than 2000 calories a day even when you think you are cutting back which is what I have tried in the past. I am trying to keep my calorie intake to about or below 1500 and this has seen really good results (and increased my willpower no end).
I seem to remember reading a quote to the effect of - if you do something for a fortnight it becomes a habit - this is so true in my case as I no longer feel the need to reach for the biscuits of an evening when I'm felling slightly hungry. I have got used to the feeling of being hungry and it no longer bothers me.
Hopefully I will be able to start my much planned exercise regime this weekend with the aim of no longer being a fat knacker by the summer.

Same here. Throw in 20 miles a week running and thats a 4.5kg loss since the 4th Jan. Seems a lot to lose still tho, as usually it is recommend no more than 2lbs a week loss rate.

Depends on your starting point, I put on 10kg last year without realising. I didn't get on the scales between January last year and January 1st this year. I anticipate that once I've lost that 10kg it's going to get much harder to shift the rest.
An increase for me this week.
Haven't been calorie counting, just stopping snacking has been a success for me.... when I'm back on the bike, I think using my Xmas Garmin will make a world of difference
Booo I'm rubbish -
Week 1 - 101.7 kgs
Week 2 - 99.6 kgs
Week 3 - 96.7 kgs
Week 4 - 99.9 kgs - WTF!!!!
After a great week last week I have a feeling this week isn't going to be too good...
Out for beer and a curry on thurs nite, probably not looking to promising for the Friday weigh in
I must learn to say no occasionally
Ok guys so to help me along the way I've started a blog. If some of you want to follow it it would be good.
Ok chubbsters....time to get your weights in to Si
Down 1kg this week so nice slow process since the beginning of the year.
wk 1 - 76.2kg
wk 2 - 74.4kg
wk 3 - 73.5kg
wk 4 - 72kg
wk 5 - 71kg
wk 1 - 183.7kg
wk 2 - 180.2kg
It was 177.6 kg after I had been to the gym, but that was unfair
last week 72.8
This week 71.3
hurrah
Think I might have gained this week. I'll hold off for a dump before an "official" weigh in. It might make the difference I need!
Grrrr, bloomin friday weigh in's, am I the only one who just doesn't have time in the morning before work to go down to the kitchen and dig the scales out?
no time for weigh in = no movivation = no weight loss here 🙁
lost sod all for the past couple of weeks, still 92.2kg.
Time to get back on the salads for lunch and hopefully get out on the bike.
Friday works well for me. I can slip at the weekend and then play catch up during the week.
Am I the only one who just doesn't have time in the morning before work to go down to the kitchen and dig the scales out?
Why not just get them out the night before, or keep them in the bedroom?
wk 1 - 96kg
wk 2 - 95kg
wk 3 - 93.5kg
Wk 4 - 92.5kg
wk 5 - 92.5kg (maybe 92, was predump and the scales aren't that accurate. at least I haven't gained!
Ian Pinder - have you got your units wrong? 180kg = 28 stone and a bit.
Nope, deffinatly not wrong.
