According to iTunes it's Into My Arms by Nick Cave.
But, for sentimental reasons, I'd probably go for Northern Sky by Nick Drake.

Errm, almost certainly the stones but the song....

Paint it black probably. or gimmee shelter.

If I could have two it'd be stop by Jamelia.

Impossible to answer! One song? Forever? I'd go insane within a few days!
Would happily go insane to
Gang Of Four - At Home He's a Tourist
or maybe something like Underworld - I'm a Big Sister, and I'm a Girl, and I'm a Princess, and this is my Horse cos its 30minutes long!

This is tough - been a few good calls on here so far - Lynard Skinnard Free Bird, Roses Ressurection, Pumpkins 1979 (I'd have gone for disarm tho)

Either - Pavement, THe Hex or as IO can only pick one............

Flaming Lips, Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots

Hawkwind - Born to Go (The version off 'Greasy Truckers Party' which is now a bonus track on 'Space Ritual', anyway the one that starts, "This one's dedicated to the miners because.. it will sound a lot like a mining disaster." And it does. Glorious biker speed and acid-fuelled trancetrip to oblivion)

Aye as said above 1 song would drive you ****in nuts...

I'd have to pick either Sister Ray by the Velvets or Beware (the extended version obviously) by Al Green (but push come to shove I'd pick Al).

Both have served a similar function in the past!

Both have served a similar function in the past!

Let me guess... you've been married twice and have had both played for the first dance at your wedding?

Some Stone Roses does the trick.

Get some Arctic Monkeys on it

A Certain Romance I could listen to for a long long time.

DJ Shadow - Midnight in a perfect world. Might not be the song you want forever, but if you're in the right slightly-down, pensive mood it'll stop you in your tracks.

This song about the big C.
I first heard it as a child and still feel emotional about it now.
