Seriously tempted by these. I need to drag myself out of the 00's and my 26er and this looks perfect for local area. Doesn't seem to be much feedback out there on how they ride though.

Also anyone know what the colour is like; pics I've seen seem to vary between very orange or a strange shade of red. And the grey looks very white so not sure what thats like IRL.

Anyone else just read ’SID Ultimate’ and ‘just £1699’ before double taking?

Fortunately the GX on the SID-spec one is enough to put me off.

There is an SLX/REBA build, but it's only about £150 less, the XT/SID ultimate build is £2100. I do think the markup for a Shimano drivetrain will make people think twice TBH.

Only 1 set of bottle mounts on a XC hardtail is a massive put off

I also noticed those wheels are 23mm internal with 2.4 tires, Yikes..

I thought that too then realised I use a Camelbak...so went ahead and bought the frame option for my winter project bike build.
