Looks like just one team.

Riding as STW. Start delay is 7 minutes. So in the pen by 19:43 and off at 19:50

Confirmed riders are @phil56, @slowpuncheur, @haloric and @mahowlett
Plus "maybe" @robbo1234biking and @paul-s

Racepass entry click here: https://www.wtrl.racing/RacePass/?id=T3Y5Z3E0RVJjdjUwZ3huVEZiZ0ZUUT09
(it's one click now, but you need a WTRL profile linked to your zwift account: https://www.wtrl.racing/registration.php ).

Still space for more (any takers @yanboss, @scaredypants, @zilog6128, @karnali, @djflexure, @dangeourbrain, @kirky72, @scaled, @benman ...) - post in here to keep track of numbers and then just click the racepass to join in.

Only Maybe - I came down with a sore throat and snots-ville today, so tomorrow I may be either in bed all day, or completly fine, we'll have to wait to tomorrow to find out

I am in. Carpet man cancelled at 5 pm tonight. Luckily about 30 mins before I planned to rip up the old carpet! On the plus side I can go out and pick up my new bike tomorrow!

Sorry, can't ride this week. WHat a shame; I was really looking forward to Leith Hill 🤢

So what is the plan for tonight?

It includes Leith hill which in reality is a 6km climb. My best time up the full 6km is a 16 mins at 298w so pretty much threshold (3.3 w/kg). We will need to pace properly to make it up as a team and go over the top together. Normally climbs are a lot smaller so we need to take this into account.

From the top of Leith there's over 7km downhill to the finish so I think it's important we get to the summit as one group. If there's only 5 of us, that makes it crucial in my opinion.

I plan to hold on until I can think of an excuse that is convincing enough to land.

If I say that I'm going outside and I may be some time, thats a code.

I don't know what my best time is up there, but I'm sure it will be slower than yours.

Hills, urgh.

All 5 confirmed riders are signed up OK.
Reinforcements still welcome!

@haloric - we need to ride to your pace on the climb (guessing about 3.0 w/kg?) and keep you sheltered through London. I dont think trying to drag you up is going to work here as the climb is so long and going to hard and slowing when we have burnt you out is going to be slower than set a nice tempo up the climb.

I understand there is an update for Neokyo - not sure if you are forced to have it, I'll be updating the ATV in good time.

Hope to be facing the right way on the line..

I'll choose my best climbing bike, and yes, steady as she goes suits me better than ramming speed on the hills.

@phil56, @slowpuncheur, @haloric and @mahowlett
Plus “maybe” @robbo1234biking and @paul-s

Guys, allow time for the latest Zwift update - it took several minutes when I did mine this afternoon

Since walking upstairs has tired me out, I'm pretty sure that I won't make tonight.

Good luck all.

Thanks all for shepherding me round - was just about done at the top.

I think my fitness is improving a little.

After the update to ATV and before the event I wasn't able to update my weight on Zwift, which is down a kilo, I couldn't get the remote to go to my name, so that was a bit of a bummer. Might be a bug or finger trouble, hard to tell with the atv remote.

That looks like an amazing team ride. It's a tough course, finishing all together and getting @haloric to the top, but just about done, is spot on. Must have needed teamwork and judgement...

It's the hilly route next week - so the forward KOM, which is a much more familiar TTT obstacle. I'll put two teams in and see who we can tempt into action.

Great. Welcome back @retrorick! (please no MTBs though...).
Do you have a WTRL account? Entry is one click now. I'll post the link later in the week, but using it goes via WTRL. If you don't have one, go here https://www.wtrl.racing/registration.php

Any more?

I need to do the wrtl sign up...
I'll try my best in the A team if that's the only team entered. Don't mind being dropped either if I lack the power to keep up.

Looks like it’s the A team for us rick, should be fun.

I best get signed up to wrtl as well.

We are on 6x "in" and 3x "maybe". So not enough for two teams, and possibly too many for
one.
You awkward lot.

New riders? Add yourself here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1E_0I0hulOaE2y34RpjckVCoT2Jks16vypeZ98L_LUw8/edit?usp=sharing

Maybes? Confirm either way?

I have two entries to hand, start delays and racepass links. But I'm around tomorrow so I'll sit on them for now and see where we end up. I'll post the info in good time though.

We have
@slowpuncheur, @robbo1234biking, @haloric, @retrorick, @giggsmaster, @mahowlett
and
maybe @phil56, @paul-s, @benman

If we do end up with 9 we could split 5-4 I suppose. But I think it would be better to field a single team of 8, even for those of you who requested a B team. I'll keep trying to get numbers up to make that more feasible.

I'm happy to be overruled - I'm not riding after all. Speak up. I'll settle on something just after lunch.

And maybes, un-maybe yourselves!

@savoyad
I'm not going to know until late on if I can make it or not - the only way I can un-maybe would be to say definitely out, and I'd like to keep the option of joining if I can make it and if there's 7 or less riders make it to the start line.

Thanks @Savoyad, I appreciate it's not easy satisfying everyone when we are on the cusp of two teams again. Everyone has busy lives and juggling work and family means it'll always be as last minute decision on finalising line-ups. For what it's worth, I think if we have some newbies or returnees, they might be better off in a bigger team of 8 than one of 4 or 5.

Not adding to the 5-4 split debate but anyone who hasnt done it for a while dont forget to wear the bumblebee jersey! We go up the steeper side of the hilly route but it means you suffer for less time and get more time to recover on the descent!

See you on the startline!

If there is a team of nine, I’m happy to drop out, as I believe I have the lowest W/kg.

Wrtl, wrtl, wrtl, bumblebee, bumblebee, bumblebee! Been a while since I've worn it but it should still fit.

If there are too many I doubt I'll be back in time so put me on the reserves list.

I can always do a recce of next weeks STW race if you have 8 already 🙂

I'm going to post 1 racepass link, so one team, in the expectation we don't end up with 9 riders.

If we get 9 confirmed, I'm open to chaotically reassigning into 5+4 (or more!). But I think it's unlikely.

OK, the team will be 8 of @phil56, @slowpuncheur, @robbo1234biking, @haloric, @paul-s, @retrorick, @giggsmaster, @mahowlett, @benman

Enter here: https://www.wtrl.racing/RacePass/?id=MmJmS3c0RGN5TStTMStZcldDYnZldz09
(you need a WTRL account. Get that here if necessary: https://www.wtrl.racing/registration.php
I'm risking chaos by overbooking, so if anyone marked "in" changes their mind or if any "maybe" can confirm either way speak up.

The Forward KOM is the main obstacle today. Set a pace that gets you over the top together.

I'm a definite 'no' I'm afraid. Riding/racing 4 days out of the last 5 has taken its toll...

Weirdly I sometime get notifications from my name being tagged in the forum, and other times I don't...

Looks like there are 8 of us signed up! Should be a good one. I like this course. Get a decent warm up in as the first climb is about 1k in!
