Robbo well done on the Tron, I've a few rides I need to do on the other platform this weekend.

I should be up for a commute on Tuesday and/or Thursday next week

I did a route in Watopia yesterday morning.

Recovery week for me now. Only got three gentle rides planned during the week so I wont be doing any commutes I think week.

Think I have made some good gains in this training block so looking forward to my ramp test on Saturday and hopefully hit an FTP above 280W!

No worries Robbo, I have 2 done days back to back of over 1000m ascents so I'm maybe having a day off tomorrow, I'll see how I feel in the morning. Other than that I may have an easy day or so and ramp up to a big climb towards the end of the week. At 95% now on the Tron, so nearly there...

Anyone fancy a QuatchQuest this weekend? Just putting it out there but realize most of you are now doing summer outdoor activities.

I'm able to do Saturday or Sunday, early doors say 7-30am? Should be around 2 to 2.5 hrs. Let me know if interested and if there is enough takers I'll set something up.

I can't do this weekend but it's a good route. I did it yesterday, took me just over 2.5 hours and I was near enough at PB on epic KOM and a couple of minutes off on the AdZ, but I climb slowly.

I'm front loading this week so was going to do Bigfoot Hills this evening and then possibly see about pushing it out to a century ride at the end.

I'm feeling left out not having a Tron bike so need to get some elevation.

I think we are all going for the Tron right now 🙂 I'm 2500m off so hope to get that done this week if possible, hence the QuatchQuest route.

I should be good on Sunday quash quest although would have to be off the bike by 10 so a 7.30 start would work for me.

@Robbo Dont think I'll do Quatch on Sunday as I went up the Alpe this morning to complete the Tron. Been up it twice this week and the legs need a rest.

Will rest tomorrow then maybe something flatter on Sunday if I feel up to it. I think there was only us two interested anyway. If you fancy something chilled Sunday then let me know.

Ok lets do something then. Guest worlds on Sunday is Innsbruck and Richmond so I guess it might be best to do London or Watopia?
How about an "Out and back again" or a "Road to Ruins"? Or even a figure 8 if you are pushed for time? All should be doable in 90 minutes or less. Alternatively a London route, nothing too hilly.

Let me know and I'll set something up, is an 8am start ok for you? or earlier?

Out and back sounds good. I think 8 should be fine as that will take a bit over an hour so gives me time to get sorted before we head out.

Volcano Climb doesn't really count based on some of the stuff we've done on a Sunday Climbs previously 🙂 this is more Sunday Potter

Even I don't mind the Volcano Climb.

After what I've done this week, it's a molehill. I couldn't face another large Sunday Hills this week, so it's "Sunday Chills"

Thinking of a Llandegla myself in the next couple of weeks, as I have a window of opportunity, I've not ridden a MTB in anger for over 3 years!! So would you recommend it, the alternative is Penmachno or the Old Marin route...whats best for someone coming back? I'm no black route rider, firmly wheels on the ground!

oop north red and blue at Llandegla probably better for a wheels on ground come back, the Marin I’d do after a few times at Llandegla though both are wheels on ground

Cheers Forge. I quite fancy Penmachno but it may be a bit remote for a solo first time back.

I’ve only done a small part of Penmancho, llangdegla is least remote, Marin can be a bit remote and no trail centre facilities there either like Penmancho.

Penmachno was crazy overgrown in places when I rode it last. Oop North, if you want some company at Degla give me a shout when you're going it's localish to me and I've not ridden it for a while.

Well my last four week training block worked. Bumped my ftp from 273w to 284w. Must have been all the hills!

Shame I will prob lose the gains over the next couple of weeks as we are actually going to get away for a few days but it won’t take long to get back I am sure.

mrhoppy will bear that in mind, normally ride solo there so be good for a change, was up today, running nice.

Looking forward to Sunday Chill now too 🙂

robbo1234biking that's a good result, I should probably do an ftp test I think I only ever did the Sufferfest FTP test when I trialed the software back in Oct 2018

@Robbo was it the standard FTP test or the ramp test?
Great result! I need to do one at some point, right now I'm 271 but I've been that for a while

See you in the morning chaps

Ramp test but in TrainerRoad. I think they are slightly different protocols in terms of step change and starting interval. Ramp test works better for me than a 20 min test.

Cheers for this morning chaps...it was a good pace!

Anyone interested in getting the commutes back on this week? Let me know and we can set some up.

I can do Tuesday and Wednesday I think this week.

Cheers for the ride this morning. After the volcano I couldn’t generate any power but think I overheated a bit and gave a lot in the ramp test yesterday.

Think we need to work on the ride descriptions Sunday Chills bit misleading, excellent pace enjoyed that this morning.

I can do Tuesday, but not Wednesday or Thursday this week

It was meant to be chilled but didn't turn out that way, I think the desert flat and trying to get away from the hangers on set the pace for the day! I wasnt planning to hit the volcano hard but i got kind of dragged in keeping up with you two.

I'll set up something for Tuesday and Wednesday...join if you can! Any preference for routes? Flat, hilly, a mix?
Possible options with London, Richmond, innsbruck etc. I hate New York...

That's the benefit of riding as a group you get pulled or pushed along with the flow. Not sure if Royal Pump Room 8 would work as a commute might be a touch to long.

I'd be happy with a mix some hill some flat also not a fan of NY on Zwift so that is fine for me.

Cheers for the commute this morning chaps. Some good sprint results there as well.

I might not make the morning @oop north if I got to hard on the ride tonight! If I am OK I will see you there! Got a new laptop today so prob will be so I can have a play on it even if I am very slow!

Not a problem @Robbo, if you're not there I may still ride, or choose something else! Out for dinner tonight so I'll need to burn it off.
If you need a slowish one that works too, I can always do more after.

Maybe see you, thanks again for this morning, it was good to have the full crew again!

Good Commute today enjoyed it, won't be riding tomorrow well earned rest day or a run not sure which it will be yet.

Good to see Dangeourbrain out on a commute and having lost none of the hill climbing speed !

I shan't be joining you tomorrow in afraid folks. The all clear has been sounded so I'm in the office tomorrow. (I've even got to do manual labour!)

Good to see you all this morning though and thanks for the invite, it was good run out. You've all seemingly got a bit quicker in the last few weeks!

We will keep pinging you invites Brian, just in case you can join again one morning.

Quicker?? I'm not sure about that, especially over distance, I reckon it's the new bike helping 😉

Good news on the all clear, felt quite good this morning despite being so very tired, a rest day for sure tomorrow.

May do this over the time it's on https://zwift.com/events/series/7-days-of-tarmac-sl7 depending on the times of the events.
