Just cleaned the chain and tweaked the clutch on my Shadow XT then tweaked the gears. But what was a shifting problem has now gone away to be replaced by me being unable to get enough B screw adjust to get the mech clear of the big cog. I took the mech off to work on it.
So what am I likely to have got wrong? Any ideas? Apart from the clearance issue it all seems fine.

Try refitting the mech, paying attention to the stop screw position...

Sounds reasonable. What stop screw?

Problem solved by Lee at Rides On Air. Working on the bike upside down I'd managed to bolt the mech on the wrong side of the stop on the hanger. Insert red face here...
