[#9694199]

I'm struggling to figure out what part(s) I need to order to remove a bit of play that has developed in the upper linkage of the rear triangle (highlighted in the image below).

From what I can see there is a bush, two bearings, dust caps and a bolt. But I've no idea what size the bush is.

There's a previous thread on Singletrack that has sizes of bush for the shock, but I don't think that's what I need. I think that's for the connections at the shock itself.

Any advice is very much appreciated.

BTW, it's a 2013 Lapierre Zesty.

Ok I had both zesty and spicys and for 2013 the frames are the same just the length of the linkage that houses the bush you need and a change in shock length.
I’m sure I had to buy a new lingage because the bush wasn’t available. £40 from memory.

Second thoughts is the play in the green bolt linkage or the inner shock shuttle ?

I think the play is in the inner shock shuttle.
i.e. I think there are three pivots in this area, and I think it's in the middle joint

Decided to take it to bits and have a look.

Turns out the LBS had stripped the treads on the long centre bolt housing on the OST link part.
Damn annoyed with the LBS, and I'll not be back for anything there.

Anyone know where I can get a new link part for a 2013 Zesty / Spicy ?

When you say the OST link part... you mean the actual OST upper link? (part 21 on diagram)

Parts diagram with part numbers here

That was an expensive part and looks like it's out of stock most places. It's pretty chunky though, any hope of getting it helicoiled or retapped?

Yes that’s the one.

I think it Ian going to be a case of having someone look at it to see if I can get a helicopter in there.

Strangely I used to outbid helicoils into stainless steel bodies every day for a living, but when it comes to my bike I shy off.
Maybe I should just give it a whirl - the part is bugger d already

Just to close this out - I've bodged a job on it at the moment, but it's going to get the helicoil treatment soon.

Just a bit worried about completely wrecking it, as Lapierre want ~£200 for the upper linkage 😯
