Two questions on these guys.

1. Few people have mentioned long waiting times, is that because you ordered ages ago? Or is it still currently the case, just if I look on the website now it only says that there is a waiting period for the size large, or have you all ordered large? If I were to order a Med and it shows as currently available, how long do you think I would expect to wait for it to arrive?

2. Can anyone give me a price in £ for the Capra Pro, once you take into account exchange rates (from banks), delivery and bank transfer fees etc. Sure I can put it into google to compare but then it doesn't take into account the above.

cheers

Don't think its much of a problem anymore, at least not at the moment.

It may or may not become a problem for 2015 versions, hard to say. Probably, waits won't be so long as they are probably on top of the frame process now (they had some "teethng issues" with the chainstay design).

Use fair fx for the transfer your bank will rip you off. Exchange rates change daily. You will be able to work out exactly what you would pay on any given day on fair fx site. I saved about 200 pounds over doing it through Lloyds bank.

I think my Pro cost £3,340 with a spare mech hanger.

here is my honest opinion 2 rides in. (I've come from a Cotic Rocket (run with both Bos Deville and Pike) and I own a dh bike)

I like it A LOT. It descends like a mini dh bike and climbs well. Its so light!
I can't wait until I ride it again and I haven't felt like that in a while.

Weak points.

BOS Kirk is leaking air albeit slowly. You need to check the pressure each ride as it drops a little. Its slow enough that it doesn't drop during a ride. Takes a few days. Met someone today who said his does the same. Could send it back but then I wouldn't be able to ride...... BOS make products that perform well but they are well dodgy in the quality control/customer service dept.

It pedal strikes quite easily, but the crank arms are 5mm longer than I'm used to. I'll get used to it.

I hear the rear mavic enduro wheel is a bit weak. I'd prefer stans rims on hope hubs, although these mavics look so enduro in yellow

The Bos suspension is indeed a bit noisey. (I recommend Loco tuning for Bos servicing)

Nearly everyone seems to be getting one.

Strong points

It feels effortless to ride it quick.

The frame is aesthetically gorgeous.

The 11 speed sram drive chain is awesome and I didn't think I'd be bothered.

It just feels 'right' straight away. 780mm bars dont feel too wide, they feel awesome.

Everything seems perfectly integrated (I'm thinking the way the Rocket droplink pivot bolts bruise my calves here!)

The Bos suspension peerforms really well.

The sram controls look really neat as they all integrate onto a single bar clamp.

Yay! Everyone has one, its like a friendly community of Capra love on the trails.

If you like descending and have the money, just get one. Its as good a bike as you can ride right now.
This 170mm travel bike genuinely doesn't feel any less capable of climbing than my Rocket, it actually seems to climb better, perhaps due to the lower weight.
I don't think it matters that much which spec you get. Bos can be a pain in the arse but they are good when they work. If you can't live with that potential hassle then get the Pike version.

Mine was in stock and delivered in a few days after the money transfer. I checked moneysavingexpert forum thing and think I used FX. They were cheap but a bit slow, their money laundering checks delayed the deal by a few days.

My Capra pro worked out around £3250 for bike only, shipping was 8 weeks as they had no stock avail but they seem to be catching up with the orders so shouldn't be long waiting now. Some people waited months as they pre ordered and such was demand for them that the couldn't fulfil orders. I've only rode mine once on a downhill trail and it absolutely rips, came from a Bronson and its a huge difference. Sitting down it feels long and very dh like, the moment you get your arse off the seat it's feels short and very agile, bos sus makes a bit of noise but who cares that's what bos sus does. My model arrived with the upgraded guide brakes which they have fitted as a replacement for the avids (thank God) as for warranty issues the nomad has been produced for how many years now? Whenever a company produces a new model you will get teething problems which they have rectified it happens on everything. As for spec changes for next year I wouldn't bet on it at most it will be colour changes and possibly change of wheels on the comp 1 but that'll be about it. Why change something that has taken the biking world by storm?

did you have an Ali Bronson or carbon bronson?

i do like the Capra but my carbon bronson with a float x and and new 36's feels amazing. im riding an XL bronson coming from a large nomad and found the nomad too short so im thinking a large Capra will be the same.
as for the Crossmax Enduro wheels they would go straight on fleabay

I was on a med carbon Bronson, a gone onto a med capra pro. I've got my first uplift day on the 28th so will see what its like over the bigger jumps and drops, and see how the wheels hold up. considered selling them and swapping them for some carbon bad boys.

i think its £56 well worth it, trash them and send them back for a new one. you have a limit on them so just time it right.
i trashed my SX's so got it straight away on my new XL's
