Off out to mugdoch tomorrow for a blast, most likely around the main paths as it's probably like a swap out there, going to head out about 2 or 3 and give the lights a spin! ๐
Sue w - it has been a struggle at times. hope the rest of the month is kinder too me
Mugdock will be a quagmire but that'll make it even more fun in the dark! Have fun seosamh77!

Stead 40 miles with the road club on Saturday morning then a fast 40 with the "animals" from the road club on Sunday.
hmm. pondering the cx/tourer/roadie build for not much money i've worked out, probably ss on the local ( 35mins away ) hill tomorrow, and probably doing similar stuff sunday too. all followed by beers, with nephew's 21st tomorrow night. 8)
Not really sure yet- possibly Brechfa Raven again, possibly a mooch about in the Beacons somewhere using Sarn Helen.
Pop, with your reputation.
That has to be the longest 4 day week ever.
No riding this week but off the Alps skiing. Yippee!
oi picto 09:00 start tomorrow, bring the hipflask
Had planned Cannock and Llandegla, but instead I think we are going to have look for somewhere to live having been given notice ๐ฏ
Saturday;
Mud free coastal singletrack and then onto beach at low tide down to Dunbar with fellow fatty bike mates, visit Harbour and John Muirs House (Museum) then cafe for tea and cake ๐ then home at sunset for pics looking across to Edinburgh, forcast is clear and windy, ideal for a winters day on the coast, ๐
Sunday;
Off to find some WW2 shells (20mm Hispano) on Sunday (MD on back of bike), hopefully all found will be unexploded ๐ฏ
Sat'day I will tow the bairn up leith hill in his chariot (good legs training) then Sunday will get out for a blast up pitch and winterfold, trying to spot some new trails on the latter.

๐ Love the way you casually bandy around figures like "8:30 lie-in" and "solo 100km".
If that was me I'd have a thread started when I got home boasting about how superhuman I was because I got up before 8:30 and rode 100km.
Off to Macc Forest tomorrow morning, quick 2 hour loop including the descent down to Three Shires Head (after the long slog up to The Cat and Fiddle).
Bikes all washed and lubed, ready to get abso****inglutely covered in sh!t again!!
must say Coastkid, those fatbike coastal rides always sound ace!
Llandegla with a couple of friends, rainbow route as the trees are down,
sunday up over the mountains heading toward llangollen , probably be blown all over ๐ then stripping my bike to sell it ๐
A final few laps of Ashton court/Leigh woods with little bro before he abandons me for India - I'm gonna need to find me some new bike buddies...
Mountain biking till I am pooped today. Road ride to a friends to plan LEJOG then rode back about 50 miles.
Rides 7&8 of 2012. 9 &10 planned for Monday!
all weekend riding sabotaged by new XT brakes front calliper seal failure pissing hydraulic fluid all over front pads.....only 4 months old.......an increasingly common problem apparently..... ๐ฟ Surf/weather conditions looking promising in North Devon for Sunday so may have to switch to the water code....not all bad!
Heading down the coast into coastkid territory ๐ Nice westerly wind so its a ride to north bewick and train back - taking a newbie friend of ours with us.

More of same around the coast a bit tomorrow,
its a hard life ๐ ๐
Not us at peffersands Coastkid
nice pics
Ace pics. Those bikes look like a giggle. Got a similar coastline round here.
Yey! Survived my first outing with the local road club - despite being the only person on a touring bike, and the only girl in a group of about 40 boy racers! Quite chuffed that I managed to keep up in the middle of the pack, and didn't ride into anyone (how close do roadie's ride the each other - I felt as though my sweat was going to end up dripping on the rear tyre of the guy in front ๐ฏ ).
Glad I did it as it was my way of celebrating the life of a friend who sadly died last Thursday - he lived life to the full and it felt appropriate to remember him by going out biking rather than sitting in crying.
So, did you guys manage to get out for your planned weekend rides?
Ah that's lovely Sue. I did a nice natural ride round Inners - mild but very windy.
So sorry to hear about your friend, Sue. ๐
despite being the only person on a touring bike
Please, please tell me you took the pannier rack off? ๐ฏ
I jolly well have not bin out for a proper ride in bloody ages. Was hoping to this weekend at last, now it's stopped flipping raining, but a dose of ManFlu followed by a cricked neck has put the kybosh on that. ๐ก
Early ride before the rain hit Kentmere way, riding my ss was a bit of a shock to the system was good to get out[url=

2 days riding on the coast, hit the spot for me,
i often think of friends no longer with us here when i ride, many did not bike but liked the stories, films and pics...
Gentle pootle above the clouds in South Wales testing out my new wide bars and short stem setup.
Was very pleased with the experiment.

Elf - pannier rack stayed on ๐ You know I'm no good at conformity and abiding by the rules - so I guess that goes for roadie protocols as well.
And it's been one of those times which has reminded me that life is short and precious to worry about whether we 'look the part' or if we're fit enough to join in - we should live for today because at some point we will run out of tomorrows. Good to see so many folks out living life to the full this weekend (and some great photos too).
First time I have not ridden in years, busy with family stuff and been like a grumpy kid to the wife because of it ๐ก Roll on tomorrow night......
Had a class ride today - superb route courtesy of Mr Pook of this parish, around Castleton in the Peaks. A mere 20 miles but it wiped me out, loads of up and down. Finished off with the cavedale descent in heavy rain, not ridden it before - Bloody hell. Tip of the hat to anyone who can straighten that one out.
Completed a 108km road Audax for the first time today.... I can conclude that road bikes are painful after 4 hours. Lovely idea Sue.
