Foxyrider - Slugwash is in the right ballpark, it's not a massive secret, and it's totally legit.
Water Oak corner, east of Avon Dam. Well worth a visit, not at all technical - just a grassy open blast with a couple of surprises, full whack.

As for how to shoot panoramas - I use the stitch assist mode on my Canon compact point and click, which basically just locks the aperture and shutter speed from one shot to the next and gives you hints how much further to pan the cam, and use Microsoft ICE to stitch the results.

It's free to download and totally kills any other stitching tool I've ever used in terms of speed and quality. Your images can even have varying brightnesses, it tries to auto-compensate for this. Get it!

Supersessions:
Can you mtn bike the PNP now?
I trekked the whole circuit 10yrs ago in December / January time and thought it was possibly the most beautiful place I've ever been to - especially up the French Valley. 😀
Glacier Grey's snout was at the refugio - I assume it's retreated by the look of things. 🙁
Knocked Cerro Torro / Fitzroy into a cocked hat!
