Hi everyone. Planning a trip to Coed Y brenin in a few months time and I've read the short official descriptions of the trails there. What I really want though, are five word (can be shorter) reviews from you guys who have ridden them. Is there a best/worst trail? Are any of them worth missing altogether due to too much fire road and not enough grin factor?

If you do the beast, after the half way tea stop house keep climbing to the top of the very steep road (don't cut right onto the fire road where your meant to as this is just all fire trail up then down and a waste of time) take the 2nd road on the right at the very top (3rd if you count the fire trail your meant to take) go through/past the gate as will lead you to the start of the Gomez descent.

OK, well probably not true any more, post rebuild (I much preferred the good old days of DD's portakabin cafe and wildly unexpected drop offs but that's cos i'm an old git).

Can be more specific if you like, i.e The Beast-Would sell Grandmother to ride, or Temtiwr-Wouldn't touch it with yours!

Gomez descent runied by "sanitisation"

The Climachx is mercifully close

Eschew for Nant yr Arian

Nearby Snowdon has best descent

Don't misunderestimate my intentions here;
No malice intended, per se.
There are just better options;
In my mostly unhumble opinion.

I love riding anywhere, really!

Full of mincers who can't ride. The trails are also easy, that or I've ridden them one to many times.

I prefer Llandegla and Cannock.

😆 LOL.....my brother rode the red bull run when he was 7.

The centre was harder 15 years ago as well. I'd call it technical, not gnarly. That's reserved for proper downhill tracks not trails used mostly by 40 year old mincers.
