...it all just comes together, perfect weather, perfect trails, perfect bike...
Well, I had one last night.
Incredible colours about at the moment.
Camera doesn't really do it justice.
Wherever your trails take you at this glorious time of year, may they be as perfect too. 8)

I'm originally from Lichfield and family still live there, but never considered taking the mountain bike when i've been to visit.
Obviously there's the chase etc but is there anything immediately around lichfield worth riding?

I had a similar experience last week. Sunset halfway round, noticeable drop in temperature without it being too cold, still dry trails and a good portion of the ride in complete darkness. Probably my favourite time of year.

I only ever really went off-road at the Chase or Hopwas Woods a long time ago, that's closer to Tamworth.

It's cobbled together with bits of cheeky tarmac, but it's from the door & it's an hour done & dusted.
Spot on for s quick blast.

Do you know what's better? Three days down the Royal Dee with LD and others of this parish in open canoes in sun. 8)

๐Ÿ™ been out this evening for a night ride around the Beacons. Was a proper winter ride with horizontal wind driven by gale force winds, mud up to the brake discs, puddles like small seas, and to top it all, the nettles are still alive and kicking. My legs are on fire, my gear is a smelly, wet, muddy heap, and the bike may never be the same again. Can't believe your pics were only 24 hours ago ๐Ÿ™‚
