Apparently Yodel have had a 'major cyber incident ' which has delayed deliveries.
I only know this because I have been waiting for a back brake which is now overdue by two weeks and I have been unable to get any sense out of them.
So all in all , normal service.

Oh dear. I hope they reported that to the ICO.

They did, but the ICO were out so they lobbed it over the wall into the Department of Transport.

Perhaps the hackers have decided to take matters into their own hands. You know the usual Yodel "service" - parcel not delivered, customer services not available...

That would explain the email I got from Yodel today

"We just wanted to give you a heads up to let you know that we're currently experiencing some operational disruption impacting Yodel Direct Send services and tracking capabilities.

At present, we're unable to accept new parcels into Yodel Direct stores and we have therefore temporarily suspended all services."

I’m surprised anyone noticed.

I wonder how the negotiations are going.
Attacker "think of the damage to your reputation when you fail to deliver all those parcels?"
Yodel: "10p then?"

Please tell me the hackers also took a picture of their feet for 'records'....

It's just a DDOS isn't it, there's too much packet loss and the network can't cope anymore.
