[#2306220]

Looking at getting a Yeti ASR-SL (c.2007 model). Re sizing, I'm a fraction under 6' (and pretty standard arm / leg lengths I think!) which seems to put me on the cusp of both a med vs a large.

My hardtails are 22.5" t/t and 18.5" frames which give a nice fit. The bike will be built up quite light, for singletrack riding.

Any views on med vs large? I've found a 2nd hand one (med) that looks good but am struggling to find anywhere to test ride one.

Many thanks

I'm 5'11' and a wee bit and ride a medium. Sat on a large and it was huge!

Would offer you the chance to sit on mine but I'm a very long way from Kent-Surrey border!

I'm 5'11" and had a large 575 and a medium ASR-SL at the same time a year or so ago. The large 575 was far too long in the top tube for me, whereas the ASR-SL in medium was perfect.

6ft here and my 575 was a large. No way would I have wanted a medium as would definitely have been too small.

5'8ish and ride a medium 575. I do like long toptubes though

Well if you're Kent/Surrey border, then you're not far from Bromley Bikes/Evolution Imports who are the Yeti importers and who must a have a selection of bikes you could have a sit on, if not an actual demo of.

5'11'' here and I rode a medium 575 - does the job nicely for me. I'd second the comment about Bromley Bikes, that's where I got mine from and they should have some in to at least have a sit on

Not sure about the ASR-SL but the geometry changed after 2007 on the 575 so current models may not be representative of the 2007 you're looking at

I'm 5'11" and I have a medium ASR-carbon.
As a comparison I also have a 17.5" Marin full suss, an 18" Dirty Jo and a 19" Saracen.

If you are going into Bromley Bike ask for Howard, he built mine for me and made a very good job of it

5'10" here, have a medium which is fine I think but should have tried a large just to be sure as I like long tt's. Sounds like a big jump in sizes though so maybe I have got the right size after all.

I'm 5'11" and my medium ASR-SL fitted me perfectly. However, I am now selling it as a refurbished frame + headset + BB + front mech only - drop me an email if you are interested?

I'm six two and ride large. My friend is about the same height as you and used to ride medium Stumpjumper. He now rides my old ASR-SL 2007 in Large and loves it. You should try one. As you may prefer one to the other. P
