ae folks riding on the old version 06/07. I had coil revs on tred some old coil pikes, was tempeted by some well priced talas 36's but i'm temptedto go back to either pikes or the old revs, the 36's seem heavy and alittle overkill
ta
have had fox 32's and 36's on my 575. 36's are the way to go- even for trail riding...
i have revs with maxle lite on an 08 frame, they suit me fine but can see why you want something larger
The 575 doesn't need it tbh, I has some 32 talas on mine, then put some wotans on, wotans seemed to add too much weight so put some Maverick DUC32's on which was the best of both worlds
Having had a 575 with air Pikes on it, if I were doing it again I'd go for 140mm Revs with Maxle light, personally
might not help . My 08 had Talas 32's on it - too flimsy and didn't do the bike justice. Stuck on some 160 Lyrics coil- beautiful fork but unenjoyable climbs then so went for DT exc 150mm - livened bike back up and great fork .
Just sold the Yeti on Friday !
Have you taken the bike somewhere steep and rocky yet?
If not, you might change your mind about them being overkill when you do.
140mm fork with 20mm axle and travel adjust would be a good compromise, but an air Pike is almost the weight of the 36 anyway.
I think I may be selling my air Rev w/Maxle in a couple of weeks, in case you're interested.
is it u turn and how much
Yes it's U Turn, not sure about price as it will either be two rides old or brand new.
It's currently on it's way to CRC to be fixed or replaced under warranty because it was making a knocking noise.
It's too much fork for my Trance, I'm getting a Reba 120mm instead.
My email is in my profile, so drop me a line if you're interested and I'll keep you posted.
Big fan of Vanillas meself, so have Fox 32s.
With a bit of spare cash knocking around I'd go for the new version of the same with a QR15 front wheel. Ain't likely to happen for a while though and I'm happy with that ๐
If you like 'ragging it' then you'll love 36s. So much stiffer than most other single crown forks, you'll be having to much fun to notice the extra weight. Regular forks feel very twitchy by comparison.
