Thinking about a new frame without having to buy into all the new pointless standards.

I've got a nice set of old school u turn pikes and 26 hope hoops, so looking for a 26 full sys that I can take to trail centres and muck about on and generally a bit of a laugh

The 4x has pretty steep angles by today's bikes, but I'm used to riding xc bikes so it should be fine.

Anyone had one or riding one at the moment?

Have a quick look at the frame I'm selling, the geometry is modern, long low & slack.

26" bandit ticks those boxes. Was one on the classified for 400ish the other day.

The Yeti 4x is a really fun bike. Also look at the long Meta 4x as well. The difference between these and the Ellsworth is they're good looking bikes whereas the Ellsworth looks like a turn of the century Stinky

Harsh, but not far off the mark 😉

The old Banshee/Mythic Spitfire is similar - they go quite cheap because of the bushing problems so if you can find a good one it'll be a bargain. You'll need a very long seatpost (dropper!) on the 4X bikes if you're tall-ish!

I've got a meta4X and its a great fun bike. Loads of rear grip, and the angles are spot on for some belting around the woods.
