A per pro nothing, here is a pic of my shiny, virginal boik awaiting its first thrash. Sorry about the crap photo, it's very dull here - waiting for the apocalypse:

Neat.

But what are you expecting to catch with that rear mech cable length ? Pheasant ? Turtle Dove ? A Pike ? Possible a Row Deer ??

You could have left the guards off til after the pic, poor bike. And that moss'll wnat doing before winter, it'll be a bloody deathtrap.

Also gert fancy frame with workmanlike component-ry, very er enigmatic. Like it.

What's going on with the gearing?

Looks like a tourer, has the rear mech off a tourer, has what looks like a 38/52 and 11-25?

Everything else looks great ๐Ÿ™‚

It's quite flat round here so road boik gearing though I bought the medium cage mech in case I find myself near a Lakeland pass and in need of a 32... It's really just for fast day rides. Sits between tourers and road boiks; the new niche... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Well it's been out for a swift (OK not so swift...) 50 and it's really quite areet. Rides a bit like a detuned carbon road bike. I did think it was sluggish and a bit shit until I realised the back brake was dragging oh soooooo slightly. Just enough to blunt it. Fettled and fixed.

Bikebouy will be delighted to hear I've sorted the 'longest loop in Christendom'. Funny what you don't notice about your own builds... (-:

Good man, you don't want to capture any random rabbit or goose with it do you.

The dullness might also be down to tyre pressure, go up in 5psi increments.. Might just be all you need..

Have fun, looks nice that.

Aye they're 28c Durano's at 90psi. I'm gonna put 25's on it but am too mean to throw a pair of part used (3k miles....) tyres away... I think it'll come alive (ahem) with a bit more puff and a little less width... No substitute for a propa road boik tho.
