As per title.

I got lucky when, in one of my more poverty-stricken moments, I bought a thinnish pair of KKC gloves off ebay. They have lasted two years, and are still quite good as colder-weather gloves.

It is time, however, to get some decent gloves for summer, and I am turning to you for advice.

So, for road riding on nice spring, fine summer, and sunny autumn days, what do you suggest?

On the road? No gloves as soon as I can get away with it!

Off road I used to use some nice thin Scott gloves from start cycles but I missed out on them this year.

I pretty much live in Fox Sidewinders all summer. There's a warmer version too for the colder ends, which still feel pretty similar so that's nice to be able to swap. Nice thin palm, wee bit of soft knuckle padding that doesn't impair comfort, velcro cuff- everything I want really

Have you ever seen the damage that gravel/tarmac does to the palm of your hand!? If I had to, I'd rather go gloveless off-road than on.

As for the OP's question I like the thin Endura gloves on the road bike - think it's the Humvee light? But I don't like fingerless gloves either on or off-road.

I'd always run fully armoured gloves off road, came to get some new ones last yer and the trend seems to be for thinner ones. Bought some, haven't looked back, except when my neck pummeled around during the numerous crashes I've had wearing them. But my hands were fine.

Fox Rangers - cheap and cheerful, really like them, except for the fact there's no magic silver string to make them work with phones ๐Ÿ™
Mate has the TLD equivalent and they seem to have come apart quite quickly.

True but I try and come off less on the road bike!
