Anyone else having problems with the new XTR or maybe even the new XT brakes where the lever disappears to the bars when riding?

This is not fading, it happens all the time where the lever travels quite far back first of all but with a few pumps it feels fine but leave it for 10 seconds and pull again and back to pulling back far.

They have just been bled, so that isn't the problem and the pads have been changed.

they may have been bled but there's still air in there getting between the reservoir and the main system...

either that or they're leaking.

They do seem a bit 'funny' in the cold, mine do the opposite though with the lever travel reducing.Fine in above zero conditions ๐Ÿ˜€

I've tried bleeding them following the proper instructions and my own method, which seemed better.
So how are people bleeding them to remove all the air if that is the problem?

mate had the same problem with his xtr's, air getting in at the leavers, he got them replaced free at LBS where he bought the bike, and has had no problems since.

I had to bleed my XT m985s three times before they felt right, same method each time - exactly how Shimano recommends. Obviously there was still some air in there after the first two bleeds, no idea where though, and I didn't do anything differently the third time.
