I need some new crank arms to replace my knackered XT ones.
I've been offered some S/H xtr cranks.
Are they a funny BCD? I'm currently running a 24 / 36 double with a bash on my XT cranks could I swap these over?

Nope, M970 are a standard BCD. M960 were the funny sized ones. There is a slight spacing difference on the granny ring on an M970. Right now I can't remember what it is though.

You need some 2mm spacers on the granny ring if you use a non-M970. Then it will be fine. Nowt special about the middle/outer.
