Might be a numpty question, but what is the significant difference, if any, between a 'normal' XT rear mech and the 'Shadow' variety?
Ripped the Deore mech (and hanger) off my Zaskar last night and just checking the forum for a possible replacement but not sure on the different types. I have a 772 on my Heckler but couldn't tell what type it is
Oh, has anyone used a replacemet hanger by Pilo too?
Any help appreciated.

Shadow in narrower on the bike so should in theroy avoid rock strikes better..
