Does anyone know where to buy spares for shimano XT shadow + rear mech?

The stainless bit with the tension adjuster screw has broken into two pieces so the clutch doesn't work.

if you can get the part numbers from the shimano tech docs then your LBS should be able to order them.

^ as andyl says. Online http://www.petracycles.co.uk/brands/Shimano-Spares.html is worth a try although they may not list all the spares available

That's a known issue, and if within warranty period you should have no problem getting a replacement - CRC sent me a whole new rear mech 😀

If out of warranty or you can't be bothered then the bit you want is called the cam unit and the part number is Y5Y198120:-

You can order them through your LBS, or I've bought them online from both these places before, although they're showing out of stock at the moment Bike-Components.de or Bicikli.de

The good news is that Shimano have redesigned the bracket to be stronger, so the replacement mech/part shouldn't break again.

Cheers for that. Normally go through the bike shop but they tend to wait until later in the week to put a Shimano order together and the rattling is driving me insane - been spoilt having a silent setup for the last year or two.

Unfortunately so many of these have been breaking that the part seems to be permanently out of stock! I ordered five of them a month or so back when Bike-Components.de had stock, and three went into my three Shadow + mechs and two kept as spares.

The whole mech is under £40 at Bike Discount currently, in case you cant get a spare.

Just picked up a new one from Evans yesterday. Used £7.50 of Clubcard vouchers with boost, so £15 of vouchers for Evans. Meant it only cost £29 of real money. Not too shabby.
