Not with Shimano. But, you can tweak it fairly easily to work on SRAM X-series 9-speed. Just needs a little spacer on the mech which effectively lengthens the arm, to match up the pull ratios.

Not completely true. There is a mod detailed on pink bike or somewhere showing how adding a washer of a certain size meant you could have 9 speed and shimano shadow plus.

That's exactly what I was talking about. But it doesn't work with Shimano shifters, only with SRAM.

That's bloody ace. I ducking hate my x7 Mech. 9sp and Clutch here I come. I've got a few washers and some old hope brake shims I can use to bodge a spacer.
