What alternatives are there to XTs - similar'ish weight and price? Ideally just after the crank arms so if they're available seperately even better!

I would go find some discount LX - they're great and you could get them well cheap. £55 at Jenson.

Merlin are doing complete Truvativ Stylo 3.3 including BB for £85 think its lighter than xt and 55% off..........

Why do you need an alternative?

How Bout going on crc or wiggle and seeing what is available. 2x or 3x will make a difference. XTR are very pretty!

Not lighter than XT, but deffo cheaper.

sorry your correct on the weight, stylo cranks are 27 grams heavier acording to www
Still good value at the price on Merlin. Have them fitted to 2 bikes done a lot of miles rings seem to wear fine at least as long as shimano. BB just been replaced bearing is double width on one side should take a bit more load. Good value imho 🙂
