I've read a few reviews of the xo trails and they seem very good but I'm wondering if anyone used them long term do they suffer with the bleed problems the old onesdid
I'm trying to decided between some xo trails and xtr trails, I've been leaning towards the xtr but I've always been happy with my elixir cr,'s but recently with my stumpy evo I've found them to be a little lacking at the bottom of a long decent.
I know the xtrs are very good but how do the new acids compare, please try to keep this about xo trails not older taper avids
Thanks rob
Had X0 trails since last November.
They are way different to Cr's which I have on my other bike and have used various incarnations for 4 years.
In the past when doing the Alps I had to bleed Cr's every day. I have not had to bleed these for 6 months and have had 2 weeks in the Alps at that. When bled properly. I find the adjustment takes up pad wear-replace pads and turn back the adjustments. They are a different leval to the old on the lever fading front.
My only gripe is a big one, they squeel like hell. Tried different pads/rotor sizes(have thought the new rotors may flex). But I can't get rid off it. There is a lot of this on Forums but no one can get rid of it.
Had mine for almost a year and I think they're the best brake I've had (Hope, Saint, XT, other Avids). Great modulation feel. Had to bleed them once I'd trimmed the hose length, but faultless since.
Not had any squealing issues though.
thanks guys after a few days trying to decide I have gone with the XTR's the amount of people happy with them cannot be coincidence lol thanks for your time thou
