I have once before tracked a bike creak down to the cassette and xd driver interface and after cleaning it and re-greasing it has returned after 1000 miles of use . Has anyone else experienced this as an issue and has anyone found a permanent way to fix it?

It's one of those creaks that can send you around the bike before you find it and a quiet bike would be bliss

Thanks in hopeful anticipation for your replies

Try new bearings as well.. My previous wheel creaked regularly, cleaning did help but new bearings sorted it for longer.

Yep - I have to lube the inner sleeve and clean and grease the spline/contact surfaces now and again to silence it.

thanks folks, it's good to know I am not alone in my pain . Will sort tonight and check bearings out at the same time 👍🙂

I feel your pain. My Hope Evo 2 wheel is terrible for this. I have to pop it off and regrease regularly. If I'm lazy i can spray lubricant in from behind and it works for a while. It's the primary reason I shan't by XD ever again.
