So this is the rebirth of XCE..
I thought the idea of XCE was to make it more technical and exciting than XCO to appeal to a wider audience. They seem to be racing round and round a car park. Looking at that a road bike would be faster. Very confused!

meh, I used to love the XCE!
I can kind of see the reasoning behind it. They want to make XC mountain biking more accessible to the general public and so staging the events in the town centers is to pique their interest.
They can put a much of a rocky gnarrr soundtrack on it as they like. But that looks bloody dull. You could do that on a cross bike with no suspension.
Absolutely no technical challenges, it just looks like sprinting round fences.
Is that a piss take?
