[Closed] XC Race Rider Cat - Which to enter?

Hi all

I'm a competent Cat3 on the road, but have only previously done MTB trail riding, not racing.

Going to do the Southern XC series this year.

Which cat should I enter for my first race? My license says Sport- but if the standard is very high, I might ease myself in with Open.

What's the average field size in Sport class at Southern XC events?

Sport will be fine.All the nutters are in Vets

Yeah, do sport, you'll be fine. Fields are c30 people.

3rd Rorschach, Vets is were you meet the scary fit OCD. One out of two is not bad and working on the former.

Ha Vets is soft compared to Grand Vets.
