I don't want a "trail" helmet with its minimal vents, full side and rear coverage I just want a well vented, light old style XC helmet for XC rides. what is the go to helmet that doesn't look roadie?

Scott Centric plus is a very comfy helmet, the best I’ve owned for sure.

I've been using my kask mojito for everything recently! Commuting to MTB

Another vote for Kask mojito here, it’s such a good lid it would be a waste to only use it on the road bike!

Just received my Scott Centric Plus. I went for a med (I'm between 58-59cm) and it's the best fitting helmet I think I've ever worn!

Can't wait to give it a proper try.

Giro Hex what exactly what i was going to say. I own several, recently buying one from Merlin in puke green 🙂

Made a mistake of buying a TLD one about a year ago that doesn't fit me as well as the Hex.. so bought another Hex...

I've just got a Bell Catalyst MIPS from Merlin, 45 quid!!
Love it although I've had a medium in my last three Bell helmets but large in this one, maybe because the MIPS takes up a bit of space.

Another happy Carnac XC user here. For £15 you can't complain.

I just gave my Carnac XC to a mate. For £15 it was a nice helmet, but it just didn't fit well for me.

Same with the enduro version too.

I know you said you dont want a road helmet, but....I just bought one of these, it really is a great helmet. I've had a load of stupidly expensive helmets over the years but I'm now kind of thinking its better to replace them more often than I did and so long as they fit well and are light enough its all good. I've a few Carnac helmets now and they are at least as comfy as the more expensive ones I've had

Hows the fit for the On One XC lid? I could do with a new commuting lid and loving the yellow!

Lazer do some good helmets anyway if you get a roadie helmet you cant see it once its on your head in less you cycle past a lot of mirrors!!!!

Just got a Bell sixer which is really comfy if it’s not too much helmet for you
Had Kask and Giro prior. Plastic cradle on my last Kask broke after 18 months

yesterday i tried one of the new lazer impala helmets that were released at sea otter last week. most XC like "trail" helmet I've put on so far. very much a Hex vibe. shame they're not available until June though

I've recently been using my Oakley road helmet for short xc rides.
