I want to go on an XC biking holiday abroad, but in the meantime poland or thata rea is always somewhere i have wanted to visit, and its cheap atm!
As a native I'm bound to say GO! but it's well worth it. Get a good guide and enjoy. There are thousands of miles of tracks, singletrack, doubletrack, cheeky runs, you name it. I'd suggest the area of The Sudetens (sp.?), SW corner of Poland. Fly to Wroclaw and you're under 100 miles from Szklarska Poreba where loads of MTB events take place.
There was somebody from Ride Poland here a while ago, alternatively check the back pages of Dirt.
