Looking to get a games console - not sure which to go for.

PS3 has the added advantage of a blu-ray player but as I don't watch many DVDs I'm not that bothered.

Opinions?

I have both they're both very good, you get free wireless and online gaming with PS3 but it's not as good as XboxLive. If your not bothered about Blu-Ray then 360 I'd say so much cheaper than the PS3.

note also that if you have adult sized hands the ps3 controller is kaka compared to the xbox's controller.

Which is ironic when it appears that the XBox was made by Fisher Price.

But without the usual robustness.

do the 360s still have reliability problems? were supposed to be unreliable a while ago weren't they?

If it's just for games then get the 360.

They've improved but PS3 has problems too.

older xobox 360 had Ring of death, chipset overheats over time - I think newer x-box has overcome this production issue, xbox 360 is noisy tho, rattle and hum, do not use as shown in advertising bumpf, lay flat or the games cd get chewed..
