Anyone used one of these?

The design has been around for a while but the X Tools version seems designed to work with wide mtb tyres (previous designs only really worked with narrow e.g. road tyres)

I know I'm opening a can of worms here but what's it actually for?
Fit, inflate pop pop pop off you go?

It's to pull a tight tyre bead over the rim in a way guaranteed to mean you'll never be able to remove it if you get a puncture the sealant can't cope with.

As above (kind of!). It helps seat the last bit of a tyre that's a tight fit on the rim

ime once a tyre has been on for a bit it tends to stretch and comes off fine if needed. Plus tubeless poo/anchovies mean the need to remove a tyre is less of an issue than it was
