I’ve got an X-Fusion Manic dropper on my Stumpjumper. The initial force required to get it moving is the worst I’ve ever come across. The manual states this is normal, but it’s horrendous. I’m having to bounce on the saddle at times to get it moving. Once it’s moving, it’s fine, so I don’t think it’s cable related. After a long climb though, it really struggles to move.
Any tips/tricks?? Or is that just the way it is?
If you want a barely used 34.9mm x 170mm Manic I might just happen to have one
I picked up a Trisports X-Fusion HiLo SL about 8 years ago via Ebay for cheap (brand new). Only issue it leaked and was slow to respond so I changed the seals and oil. It's been fine, and not serviced for the last 8 years other than regular silicone spray on the post to lube the seals.
Worth a service and a clean.
Cheers. Will give the silicone a go. I’ve used the RSP hyperwiper which didn’t seem to make much difference.
I hadn’t spotted that other thread, but unlike those posts, this dropper is new. Only done 200miles. Once moving it’s great,
