I know that dropper seatposts are a bit contentious so here is my two penneth worth.
I bought a hilo off a chap on here and fitted it for a long weekend in the Alps. I have to say the product seems fine. There is a bit of play in the raised position but nothing that is noticeable and when lowered, no play.
It was up n down all weekend without a glitch and it was not too much of a faff. Taking a hand off to stick a camelbak valve in the mouth is not too much more interruption to the riding.
So, there you have it, ealry doors yet but a satisfied hilo user here.

No problems with mine either, used it and gave it some abuse at Mega and it came through fine.
Tiny hint of play that was there at the start (less than a RS Reverb) and smooth action up & down.
It has converted me, I can see a real benefit.
